Inpage was launched by Indian Software Development team called Concept Software Pvt. Ltd in collaboration with a UK company called Multilingual Solution in 1992. In addition, the word Inpage was coined by the founder named Vijay. Further, the primary target of this was to cater for the needs and requirements of Urdu Newspaper Industry in India and Pakistan. The Daily Jang of Pakistan was the first Newspaper client when it started using the application in 1995. Moreover, the company got the first Indian Newspaper client ‘inquilab’ in 1996. The version 2.x was released in 1998 whereas the third release i.e. 3.x was in 2008.  Vijay K Gupta bought the shares of his co founder R P Singh in 2012. Later on, the MAC version was released in 2015.

The Inpage Urdu is not available for Ubunto OS.
