Surah Fatiha is the first ayat of the Holy Quran orderwise, which was revealed on the Prophet Muhammad (SA) during the Meccan period. It has seven verses. It is one of the most important verses of the Holy Quran which is obligatory to read in prayers. The word Fatiha means the opening. This Surah is also called Ummul Kitab or Ummul Quran.
